Basic

Followtheon-screeninstructionsontheBasictabtoadjustzoomandfocus.Thepixelcounterisusedtodeterminethenumberof

pixelsinanareaoftheimage,forexampletoensurethattheimagesizefulllsspecicrequirements.Topositionthepixelcounter,

clickonthetextanddragthewindowtothedesiredposition.

Note

•Thebackfocus(step2)shouldonlyberesetifthecamerahasbeenfocusedpreviously.

•Setfocusaspreciselyaspossibleusingthefocuspulleronthelens(step3)beforestartingtheautomaticne-tuning(step4).

•Ifthecameraisplacedsothatitisdifculttolookattheimageandmovethepullersatthesametime,youcanusethe

FocusAssistanttofocusthecamera;forinstructions,seetheInstallationGuidesuppliedwiththeproduct.

Advanced

Thetoolsonthispagecanbeusedtondtheoptimalfocusposition.Alwaysopentheirisbeforefocusingandenableitwhennished

focusing.FocusismeasuredinthepartoftheimagecoveredbytheFocuswindow.Usethemousetomoveandresizethewindow

andthenclickFine-tunefocusautomatically.Ifneeded,clickintheFocuspositionbaroronthearrowsattheendsofthebar,to

furtheradjustthefocus.Thebuttons<and>movethefocuspositiononestepineitherdirection.Thebuttons<<and>>movethe

focuspositionmultiplestepsineitherdirection.Clickingonthebarsetsfocustothatposition.Ifthecameraisnotfocusedafter

completingtheaboveinstructions,trytheFullrangefocusscan.Thescan,whichcantakeseveralminutes,transformsthefocus

positionbartoagraphwherepeaksindicatethebestfocuspositions.Clickinthegraphtosetfocustothedesiredposition.

AudioSettings

TheaudiofunctionalityforeachvideostreamisenabledunderVideo&Audio>VideoStream>Audio.

AudioModes

TheAxisproductsupportsthefollowingaudiomodes:

Fullduplex-Simultaneoustwo-wayaudioallowingtheAxisproducttotransmitandreceiveaudioatthesametime.Thereisno

echocancellation;iffeedbackloopsappear,trymovingthemicrophoneorthespeaker.

Half-duplex-AudiocanbetransmittedtoandfromtheAxisproductbutonlyinonedirectionatatime.Totransmitaudiousingthe

LiveViewpage,usetheTalkandListenbuttons,seeAMCAudioControlsonpage14.

Simplex—speakeronly-AudioistransmittedfromaclienttotheAxisproductandcanbeplayedbyaspeakerconnected

totheproduct.TotransmitaudiousingtheLiveViewpage,theTalkandMicrophonebuttonsmustbothbeactive,seeAMC

AudioControlsonpage14.

Simplex—microphoneonly-AudiocapturedbytheproductmicrophoneistransmittedfromtheAxisproducttooneormoreclients.

Tosettheaudiomode,gotoVideo&Audio>AudioSettingsandselectthedesiredmodefromtheAudiomodedrop-downlist.

AudioInput

AnexternalmicrophoneoralinesourcecanbeconnectedtotheAudio-inconnector.ConguretheaudioinputsettingsunderVideo

&Audio>AudioSettings.

Note

Theinternalmicrophoneisusedbydefault;theexternalmicrophoneisusedwhenconnected.Itispossibletodisablethe

internalmicrophonebyconnectingaplugtothemicinput.

ThefollowingaudiosourcesareavailableunderAudioInput:

•InternalMicrophone:Selectthisaudiosourcetousetheinternalmicrophone.

•ExternalMicrophone:Selectthisaudiosourcetousetheexternalmicrophone.

•Line:SelectthisaudiosourcetouseaLineindevice,thatis,anaudiomixerformultiplemicrophonesoramicrophone

withabuilt-inamplier.
