TheDeviceSettingswindowdisplaysdriverspecicsettings.Theappearanceofthiswindowcanvarydependingonthedriver

installed.Optionsthatcanbeconguredinclude:

•DriverSpecicSettingsforVideoSource

•MechanicalLimitsforMovingVideoSource

•ExtendedDriverSpecicSettingsforVideoSource

Controls

AdvancedPTZsettingscanbeconguredunderPTZ>Advanced>Controls.

ThePanelShortcutCommandButtonslistshowstheuser-denedbuttonsthatcanbeaccessedfromtheLiveViewpage’sCtrl

panel.ThesebuttonscanbeusedtoprovidedirectaccesstocommandsissuedusingtheVAPIX®applicationprogramminginterface.

ClickAddtoaddanewshortcutcommandbutton.

ThefollowingPTZcontrolsareenabledbydefault:

•Pancontrol

•Tiltcontrol

Todisablespeciccontrols,deselecttheoptionsunderEnable/Disablecontrols.

InstallPTZDriver

ThisAxisproductsupportsseveralPTZdevices.Pleaseseewww.axis.comforacompletelistofsupporteddevices,andtoobtainthe

correctdriver.ToinstallaPTZdeviceyouneedtoinstallthePTZdriver.

ToinstallthePTZdrivergotoPTZ>DriverSelection.Browsetondthedriver(e.g.driver.ptz)andUpload.Ifthedriverwas

successfullyuploaded,itappearsintheSelectdrivertousedrop-downlist.Fromthisdrop-downlist,selectthedrivertoinstall

orremove,andclickSave.

SelectActivatePTZtoenablePTZ.TheaddressoftheconnecteddeviceappearsagainstDeviceID.ChoosetheDevicetypefromthe

drop-downlist.Tondwhichdevicetypetouse,consultthedocumentationsuppliedbythePTZdriver.

TocompletetheinstallationgotoSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>COMPort(seeCOMPort)andverifythesettings.

ControlQueue

TheadministratorcansetupaqueueforPTZcontrollersfromPTZ>ControlQueue.Oncesetup,thePTZControlQueuebuttons

appearintheLiveViewpageofferingoneviewerexclusivecontrolforalimitedperiodoftime.Otheruserswillbeplacedinqueue.

Auserwhobelongstoagroup(seeUsersonpage36)withahigherPTZprioritycangobeforeotherusersinthequeueandtake

controloftheproduct.Theorderofpriorityisasfollows:

1.Administrator—AnadministratortakesoverPTZcontrolregardlessofwhoisrstinqueue.Theadministratorwillbe

removedfromthequeue60secondsafterthelastPTZcontrolcommand.

2.Event—TheAxisproductcanbeconguredtogotoapresetpositionwhentriggeredbyanalarm(seeEventsonpage31).

Theeventwillimmediatelybeplacedrstinthequeueexceptwhenanadministratorisincontrol.

3.Operator—Sameasadministratorbutwithlowerpriority
