PTZ(PanTiltZoom)

InstallingaPTZdriver

ThisAxisproductsupportsseveralPTZdevices.Pleaseseewww.axis.comforacompletelistofsupporteddevices,andtoobtainthe

correctdriver.ToinstallaPTZdeviceyouneedtoinstallthePTZdriver.

ToinstallthePTZdrivergotoPTZ>DriverSelection.Browsetondthedriver(e.g.driver.ptz)andUpload.Ifthedriverwas

successfullyuploaded,itappearsintheSelectdrivertousedrop-downlist.Fromthisdrop-downlist,selectthedrivertoinstall

orremove,andclickSave.

SelectActivatePTZtoenablePTZ.TheaddressoftheconnecteddeviceappearsagainstDeviceID.ChoosetheDevicetypefromthe

drop-downlist.Tondwhichdevicetypetouse,consultthedocumentationsuppliedbythePTZdriver.

TocompletetheinstallationgotoSystemOptions>Ports&Devices>COMPort(seeCOMPort)andverifythesettings.

PresetPositions

Apresetpositionisapredenedviewthatcanbeusedtoquicklysteerthecameratoaspeciclocation.Presetpositionscan

beaccessedinseveralways:

•Whensettingupactionrules.Seepage32.

•WhensettingupGuardTour.Seepage26.

Toaddapresetposition:

1.GotoPTZ>PresetPositions.

2.Usethepan,tiltandzoomcontrolstosteerthecameraviewtothedesiredposition.

3.EnteradescriptivenameintheCurrentpositioneld.

4.ClickAdd.Thecamera’spositionandfocussettingsaresavedasapresetposition.

TheproductcanbeconguredtoreturntotheHomepositionwhenthePTZfunctionalityhasbeeninactiveforaspeciedlength

oftime.EnterthelengthoftimeintheeldandclickSave.Setthetimetozerotopreventtheproductfromautomatically

returningtotheHomeposition.
