AUTO STARTER/JUMPER

This product has been carefully engineered and manufactured to give you dependable operation. Please read
this manual thoroughly before operating your new product as it contains the information you need to become
familiar with its features and obtain the performance that will bring you continued enjoyment for many years.

MANUFACTURER AND MANUFACTURER OF ANY DEVICE INTENDED TO BE USED WITH THIS UNIT.
RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
Do not use the Auto Jumper with a completely discharged battery.
The Auto Jumper is NOT waterproof!
It will be damaged if submerged in water.
When not in use, the Auto Jumper should only be stored in a temperature environment of 32°F to 110°F.
During operation, the Auto Jumper may become warm. Discontinue operation if the Auto Jumper becomes
too hot.
Please be responsible, always recycle your Ni-Cad!
Recharge battery after every use. The Auto Jumper comes fully charged. However, it is recommended that
you initially charge the unit overnight using your AC Adapter or by your cigarette lighter for at least 30
minutes.
The Auto Jumper includes fuse protection that regulates the discharge and recharge of the Auto Jumper.
Auto Jumper is designed to recharge 12 volt batteries with a low voltage between 10.4 and 10.5 volts.
The Auto Jumper should be charged every 12 months regardless of usage. Using an AC adapter is
recommended.
Charging a Weak Battery:
Be sure the Auto Jumper is not connected to the vehicle before attempting to start vehicle.
Turn off lights and all other electrical accessories (eg. Fan, radio, windshield wipers, etc.) Turn on the small
interior light to use as an indicator that the battery is charging.
If you have a car alarm, the car alarm must be put into "Valet Mode". Many popular car alarms will cut off
power to the vehicles electrical system. If you have this type of alarm, the Auto Jumper will not work if the
alarm is engaged.
Make sure your cigarette lighter socket is clean and free of debris.
Plug the Auto Jumper into the cigarette lighter socket.
Push the "On/Off" button to the "On" Position.
The light on the 12-volt cigarette connector will illuminate to show charging has begun. The interior light will
also illuminate.
If the light or dial does not brighten, Turn on the ignition key to the "Accessories" position (see vehicle
owner's manual). If your vehicle's 12-volt cigarette lighter or power source is off when the ignition is off, be
sure the ignition key is set to the "Accessories" position during the recharging process.
If the interior light does not brighten, turn off the interior light. Allow the unit to remain in the cigarette lighter
for at least 35 minutes.
Attempt to start the vehicle. If the vehicle does not start, DO NOT attempt to start the engine more than
twice. Call a service center or tow truck.
Recharging the Auto Jumper in Your Vehicle:
