US5000 / US6000: OPTIONAL CASTER MOUNT ASSEMBLY
Tools required: 7/16" wrench
1. Raise the bed sleeping surface to its full
height.
2. From underneath, position a Caster
Mount Bracket in the inside corner of the
Main Frame, aligning the Caster Mount
Bracket side holes with the single hole
in the Frame End Crossbrace and the
bottom hole in the Main Frame Side Rail
as shown at right.
3. From the outside of the Frame End
Crossbrace, insert a long 1.75" Carriage
Bolt through both Crossbrace walls,
seating the Carriage Bolt’s square neck
in the square Crossbrace hole.
4. From the outside of the Main Frame Side
Rail, insert a shorter 1.50" Carriage Bolt
through the holes, seating the Carriage
Bolt’s square neck of the bolt in the
square Side Rail hole.
5. From the inside, screw a
1
/4" Nylon
Locknut onto the end of each Carriage
Bolt. Tighten with a
7
/16" open or socket
wrench.
6. From the bottom, slide the stem of
one of the four casters into the hole as
shown at right and push it up to snap
into place.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 for the other three
Main Frame corners. The bed is shown
at lower right with all four casters
mounted.
Info: To put the bed in Low Roll
position, lower the bed until the
Legs are off the floor and the
Casters are resting on the floor
(the bed is shown at lower right
before lowering).
WARNING: DO NOT use the
Patriot LX Bed as a transport
device!
