Forbestresults,operatewithasteam
pressureof90-125psi(6.2-8.6bar).The
steaminletandreturnarelocatedonthe
rightrearofthemachine.Theinletis
markedassuchandis¾”NPT(Female).
Thereturnismarkedassuchandis½”
NPT(Female).
Important:Insulateallsteamandreturn
linesforthesafetyoftheoperatorand
servicetechnician.
Important:Allsteamcomponentsmustbe
ratedforaminimumof200psi(14bar)
workingpressure.Shutoffvalvesmustbe
installedupstreamofthesteaminlet,and
downstreamofthesteamtrapsothatthe
equipmentcanbeisolatedformaintenance
oremergency.
Important:Supportallsteamlinesand
componentstominimizetheloadonthe
steamconnectionstotheironer.
Obtainsteamservicepipingfromasteam
systemsupplieroraqualifiedsteamfitter.
Useaminimumof12inch(300mm)rise
abovetheheadertopreventcondensate
fromdrainingintotheironer.Donotmake
asteamconnectiontotheheaderwitha
horizontal/downwardfacingteeorelbow.
Whereverpossible,horizontalrunsofsteam
linesmustgravitydraintothesteamheader.
Waterpocketsorimproperlydrained
headerswillyieldpoorresultsduetowet
steam.
Installaunionandvalveinthesteam
supplyandreturnlinesforeaseofservice.
Installaninvertedbuckettrapwithstrainer
andacheckvalve.Forbestresults,install
thetrapatleast18inches(450mm)below
theinletandasclosetothemachineas
possible.Installthetrapaccordingtothe
instructionswiththeunit,notingthesteam
flowdirection.Ifthesteamisgravity
returnedtotheboiler,installavacuum
breakerandcheckvalveinthereturnline
nearthemachine.Notethatallreturn
plumbingmustbebelowthereturninlet.
Topreventeventualwaterhammer,routeall
returnlinesbelowsteamoutlets.
