Beforeoperatingtheironer,checkthe
following:
1.Checkthatthemachineisleveland
inastablepositiononthefloor.The
machineshouldnotrockormoveinany
way.
2.Ensurethatallelectrical,gas/steam,
andexhaustconnectionsaremadeand
leakfree.
3.Checkthattheironeriscorrectly
groundedaccordingtotheearlierlisted
specifications(seepage8).
4.Removeallpackagingandprotective
shippingmaterials.Discardtheseitems-
donotstorethemneartheironer.
5.Inspectthethermostatsledassembly
andmakesureitisinfullcontactwith
theironingcylinder,andisfreeoflint
anddebris.
6.TurntheheatingcontroltotheOFF
position,andthespeedcontrolto
minimum(fullycounter-clockwise).
7.Applypowertothemachine.Before
doingthis,doublecheckthatthesupply
voltagematchestheinformationonthe
serialstickeroftheironer.
8.PressthegreenSTARTbutton.
9.Doublecheckthattheexhaustfanis
rotatinginthedirectionindicatedonthe
blowerhousing.Additionalinformation

10.Makesurethefeedingbeltsare
actingtopulllinenintothemachine
(beltstravelingtowardstheheated
cylinder)
11.Replaceallpanels.
12.Forgasunits,movetheheatswitch
totheONposition.Theheatlightturns
on.Therewillbeadelayof30seconds
priortoignition.
13.Checkthatthetemperature
increases.Whenthetemperature
reachesthesetpoint,theheatlight
shouldturnoff.
14.Useoldorwornlinentoperform
theinitialironingtest.
15.Laythelinenonthefeedingbelts
andallowittobepulledintotheironer.
16.Adjustthespeedcontrolsothatthe
goodscomeoutoftheironerdryand
finelypressed.
