InstallationNotice:
Forpersonalsafetyandforproper
operation,themachinemustbegrounded
inaccordancewithstateandlocalcodes
andintheUSAinaccordancewiththe
NationalElectricCode,article250-96.
Elsewhere,theequipmentshouldbe
groundedinaccordancewithANSI/NFPA
70,ortheCanadianElectricalCode,CSA
C22.1.Thegroundconnectionmustbeto
aprovenearthground,nottoconduitor
waterpipes.
NaturalGasorLiquidPropaneGas(LP
Gas)heatedequipmentinstallationmust
complywithstateandlocalcodes,andin
theUSA,inaccordancewiththeNational
FuelGasCode.Elsewhere,theequipment
shouldcomplywithANSIZ22.1,orCSA
B149.
Provisionsmustbemadeforadequate
make-upairandventilation,andaccessfor
equipmentserviceandinstallation.
1.Readallinstructionspriortooperating
thisequipment.
2.Ensurethattheequipmentisproperly
groundedbeforeapplyingpowerand
operationcommences.
3.Donotprocessgoodsthathavebeen
previouslycleanedin,soakedin,orexposed
togasoline,drycleaningchemicals,orany
otherflammableorexplosivematerials,as
theycouldcatchfireorexplodewithout

warning,
4.Donotallowchildrentoplayinor
aroundoroperatethisequipment.
5.Checktheoperationofallsafety
interlocksatthestartofeveryshift.Ifthe
interlocksdonotstoptheequipment
immediately,themachinemustberemoved
fromservice.Notifyyourimmediate
supervisor,anddonotoperatethe
machine.
6.Neverattempttoservicethemachine
whileitisrunning.Neverreachover,under,
around,orbehindanysafetydevice,orinto
anyareanearmovingpartsorhotsurfaces
withoutshuttingoffpowerandallowingthe
machinetoadequatelycool.
7.Neverattempttoremovejammedor
misfedgoodswhilethemachineisin
operation.Attemptingtoclearjammed
goodswhilethemachineisinoperationcan
causetheusertobepulledintothe
machine,causingseriousinjuryordeath.
Alwaysstopthemachine,removepower,
andallowtimeforcoolingbefore
attemptingtoremovejammedgoods.
8.Read,understand,andfollowallsafety
instructions.Donotcomeclosetomoving
partsandhotsurfaces.Donotwearloose
clothing,jewelry,neckties,oranyother
garmentthatcouldbecomecaughtinthe
machinewhileoperatingornearthe
machine.
9.Onlyaqualifiedtechnicianshould
attempttoserviceorrepairtheironer.
