Section 1 General Description 1.3 SPECIFICATIONS 1.1 INTRODUCTION BK's Battery Capacity Analyser Model 601 measures the terminal voltage, internal resistance & % capacity left in a battery. By just selecting proper AH range & pressing TEST switch, user can get the terminal voltage, % Balance capacity & internal resistance as per the selections. Voltage Ranges: Model 601: 6V, 12V automatically selected Model 602: 24V, 36V automatically selected Display: i) Capacity 0% to 100%.
Section 2 Operation 2.1 FRONT PANEL CONTROLS 1. PRESS & HOLD POWER / SEL. AH KEY After you connect the BUT to the battery analyzer, you need to press & hold this key to activate the battery analyzer. After activation user can select the AH values as per BUT rating using this key. 2. UP KEY This key is used to increase theAH values. 3. DOWN KEY With this key, the user can decrease the AH values. 4. TEST KEY On pressing this key the measurement will begin. 5.
Operation 2.2 OPERATING PROCEDURE Follow the steps as outlined below : If the memory test fails: NO SETTINGS FOUND LOADING DEFAULTS 2.2.1 Connection Procedure Connect Battery Capacity Analyzer (601) to Battery Under Test (BUT). Connect the +ve terminal of 601 to +ve terminal of Battery. Connect -ve terminal of 601 to -ve terminal of Battery. The 601 is powered by BUT. To power on the unit, press & hold the POWER key. On Power up, 601 performs a memory test & displays open circuit voltage on LCD.
Operation The first field indicates the battery terminal voltage when battery was loaded during the test; the second field shows the balance capacity in percentage. IR indicates the internal resistance in milli ohms. After the test, follows a cooling period of approximately 15 seconds. If user tries to perform a test during this period, the following message is displayed. CAUTION 1) Do not connect Model 601 to a voltage source more than 20V.

SECCIÓN 1 Descripción General 1.1 INTRODUCCION El analizador de capacidad de batería BK Modelo 601 mide el voltaje terminal, la resistencia interna y el porcentaje de capacidad restante de una batería. Estos valores se obtienen seleccionando sólo el rango AH y oprimiendo el switch TEST. El modelo soporta baterías de 6 y 12V de tipo acumulador de plomo-ácido con un amplio rango de capacidad AH. No se requiere potencia externa (DC o de línea); la unidad se activa con la batería bajo prueba. 1.
SECCION 2 Operación 2.1 CONTROLES DEL PANEL FRONTAL 1) Llave SELECT&HOLD POWER/SEL AH. Después de conectar la batería al analizador, active esta llave para activar al analizador. Después de la activación, seleccione con esta llave los valores AH de acuerdo con las especificaciones de la batería 2) Llave UP. Se usa para incrementar los valores de AH 3) Llave DOWN. Con esta llave se decrementan los valores de AH 4) Llave TEST. Oprimiendo esta llave comienza la prueba 5) Llave TEST REPEAT.
Operación 2.2 PROCEDIMIENTOS DE OPERACIÓN Siga los pasos siguientes: 2.2.1 Procedimiento de conexión. Conecte el analizador 601 a la batería. Conecte la terminal positiva del 601 a la terminal positiva de la batería. Conecte la terminal negativa del 601 a la terminal negativa de la batería. El 601 se energiza con la batería. Para el encendido, presione y mantenga la llave POWER. Al encendido, el 601 ejecuta una prueba de memoria y exhibe el voltaje sin carga en pantalla.
Operación Al finalizar el período de prueba, se exhibe la pantalla siguiente: OPEN CKT: 12.53V SELECT AH: O28 El primer campo indica el voltaje terminal de la batería cuando se cargó durante la prueba. El segundo indica la capacidad de balance en porcentaje. IR indica la resistencia interna en mili ohms Para comenzar otra prueba, oprima SELECT AH; para repetir la misma prueba, oprima TEST REPEAT. Después de la prueba, pemita un período de enfriamiento de aproximadamente 15 segundos.
