A remote control CTRL+ "Control On" command will turn on 12VDC and “CTRL-” will turn off 12VDC. Additional control and control is available using RS-232 and Ethernet BKC-DIP.
4 CONNECTION OVERVIEW The following is an overview of connections found on the AVR 707. Further information may be found later in the quick guide or in the AVR 707 manual. This guide should only be used as a reference starting point, it is recommended you contact an authorized B&K installer or dealer for integration of the receiver in advanced installations.
VIDEO INPUT / OUTPUT CONNECTIONS Composite Source S-Video Source Component Source HDMI Source Video Input Connection - HDMI The B&K surround receiver provides 6 HDMI A/V inputs. HDMI carries both audio and video, B&K allows options to process audio and video separately (please see the menu setup for further options). To connect an HDMI video source to the B&K, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI output on the source piece.
6 AUDIO INPUT CONNECTIONS Analog Source Coaxial Digital Source Optical Digital Source HDMI Source Audio Input Connection - HDMI Although HDMI connection carries both audio and video, B&K can process audio and video separately (please see the menu structure for further information). To connect an HDMI audio source to the B&K, connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI output on the source device. Then connect the other end of the cable into the corresponding HDMI input on the receiver.
AUDIO OUTPUT CONNECTIONS Audio Output Connection The AVR 707 and 705 receivers support 7.1 RCA surround outputs. Typical usage is for use with other external amplifiers. These outputs may be used to connect external amplifiers and/or a subwoofer to the receiver. Be sure to match the appropriate pre-amp output to the speakers location in the room. For example, connect the center channel output the the center speaker amplifier channel.
CONFIGURATION AND CONTROL 8 There are a few different ways to achieve control and configuration of the AVR 707. Using the component video or HDMI output on the AVR 707 you may use the on-screen GUI navigation while viewing changes on the HD monitor. BKC-DIP communication support is available for use with Ethernet and RS-232 from and external controller or device or a PC. Some restrictions may apply. Please see the full manual or the B&K website for further information.
