• Steroid-based treatment in the last 3 months.
A history of herpes outbreaks in the treatment area, unless you have
consulted a doctor and received preventative treatment before using
Homelight® depilator.
• Epilepsy.
An active implant such as a pacemaker, a urinary incontinence
implant, an insulin pump, etc.
A pathology involving photosensitivity, e.g. porphyria, polymorphic
light eruption, solar urticaria, lupus, etc.
• Recently applied photosensitising creams or essential oils.
• A recent vaccination.
• History of skin cancer or areas prone to dermal malignancies.
• Radiotherapy or chemotherapy in the last 3 months.
• Any other light-based dermatological treatment (laser, etc.).
Any other situation your doctor may determine as hazardous for the
treatment.
If you have any doubts whatsoever about the hazards you may
face by using Homelight®, please check with your regular doctor or
dermatologist.
1.3. Safety precautions
A number of safety precautions are necessary before using
Homelight® in order to avoid undesired side effects:
Do not use Homelight® on dark skin. Treating dark skin with
Homelight® can lead to side effects such as burns, blisters or changes
to skin colour (hyper- or hypo-pigmentation).
Do not use Homelight® on skin which is tanned or has recently been
