2. Press and hold down the f

button until the ‘User Cal’ screen is dis-
played. Note that battery status is first displayed for approximately
2 seconds.
User Cal
Wait until the analyzer automatically switches to its ‘Air/Gas’ screen
before proceeding.

3. Press the f

button to zero the analyzer using fresh ambient air. If the
air calibration procedure was successful, the display will show
AirCal
OK
If the procedure was unsuccessful, the message
AirCal
Failed
will be displayed. If this happens, retry the Air Calibration procedure,
ensuring that the analyzer is only exposed to fresh air. If the pro-
cedure is still unsuccessful, then the analyzer must be returned to a
Bacharach Service Center for evaluation.
4. This completes the Air Calibration procedure. If desired the analyzer
can now be spanned to a known concentration of CO
2
gas per Section
3.7.1.2.
