O Monitor 3010
1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
The Bacharach N
2
O Monitor 3010 is easy to use, but it is es sen tial that
this instruction manual be read and understood by all operators and
main te nance personnel prior to using or servicing the monitor.
The 3010 is a compact and lightweight N
2
O monitor that dis plays the
current level of N
2
O gas in either the range of 0 to 1,000 ppm, or a Time
Weight ed Average (TWA) ppm value, or an elapsed time (twa) ppm value.
The monitor is based on the infrared-ab sorp tion principle using a low
volume, dual wavelength infrared cell to detect the presence of N
2
O. The
3010 draws in a gas sample using its in ter nal pump, which can be turned
ON/OFF by press ing the f
3
button. The monitor automatically stores gas
read ings in memory at predetermined intervals. The stored data can be
later down load ed to a per son al com put er via its integral IrDA com mu ni c-
a tions link and optional BACH-COM software.
The 3010 can be operated in the following three modes: 1) normal (real-
time) ppm read ings, 2) auto-stabilization for in creased sta bil i ty during
long term time weighted average measurements, and 3) leak de tec tion.
