MODEL 300 COMBUSTION ANALYZER
Instruction 24-9223 2-5
Figure 2-3. Typical Display During CAL Cycle
Before using your Model 300 Combustion Analyzer in an actual efficiency
test, verify that the analyzer indicates 20.9% oxygen in fresh air, and
correctly measures ambient air temperature.
1. Turn on the analyzer by either plugging it in, or by setting its battery
pack switch (see Fig. 3-9) to ON.
2. Observe that all front and Optional auxiliary-display panel LEDs light
for 3-5 seconds; after which, the left display shows CAL, the Optional
clock display shows the correct time, and the middle and right front
and Optional auxiliary-displays go dark. Also note the pump starts
and continues to run until the conclusion of the calibration cycle.
3. Place the probe in an ambient (room) environment.
4. Press CAL key. At this time you should see (Fig. 2-3):
Pump LED turns on in left display.
Left display shows CAL.
Middle display show the oxygen sensor’s millivolt output level.
Right display counts down calibration time starting at 60 seconds.
Optional clock will display the correct time.
During calibration, Optional NO
X
and SO
2
displays may not show zero.
At the end of CAL cycle, these displays should indicate zero ±2 ppm.
