MODEL 300 COMBUSTION ANALYZER
Instruction 24-9223 3-9
3.5 ERROR, WARNING AND OVERRANGE DISPLAYS
3.5.1 Basic Error, Warning and Overrange Displays
Three levels of problems are detected by the analyer’s microprocessor,
and then identified on the left display in the form of E* (error), W*
(warning) and OR (overrange) messages. Refer to Table 3-1 for a listing
and description of these messages.
Depending on the nature of the problem and mode of the analyzer, the
analyzer behaves as follows when a problem occurs:
• If an “error” and/or “warning” problem occurs during the CAL cycle: the
ERROR indicator starts flashing, and an E* and/or W* message ap-
pears at the conclusion of the calibration cycle.
• If an “overrange” problem occurs during the CAL cycle: the calibration
cycle is immediately aborted, the ERROR indicator starts flashing, and
an OR message appears.
• If an “error” and/or “overrange” problem occurs during an efficiency
test: the efficiency test is immediately aborted, the ERROR indicator
starts flashing, and an E* or OR message appears.
• “Warnings” are ignored during an efficiency test.
To acknowledge and clear an error, warning, or overrange message,
perform the following:
1. Press the left SELECT key to acknowledge the E*, W*, or OR mes-
sage, and to stop the ERROR indicator from flashing.
If the analyzer reports more than one problem, continue to press the
left SELECT key as many times as necessary to view and clear all
messages, until either the analyzer starts through another calibration
cycle, or the word RUN or FUEL appears in the left display.
