4.1 SENSOR AND/OR CONTROL PANEL REMOVAL
To adjust potentiometers R9, R19, R24, POT1 & POT2, or to replace the
sensors, the sensor and/or control panels must first be removed from the
case as follows:
Equipment Needed
• Medium Flat-Blade Screwdriver
Procedure
1. Remove power from analyzer. If installed, fold down the Optional
auxiliary display panel. Remove water trap by pressing the release tab
and pulling on the trap (The water trap can remain attached to the air
tubing). Disconnect the probe by removing the thermocouple connector
from the analyzer's receptacle. Set the probe/trap assembly aside.
2. Remove sensor cover (Fig. 4-1) by loosening its three knurled screws.
NOTE: Only two knurled screws are used with the battery powered
analyzers. At this point the O
2
and CO sensors are accessible.
If a printer is installed, remove the screw securing the printer to the
control panel with a screwdriver (Fig. 4-2). Lift the printer straight up,
then back to disengage from keyhole retainers. Set printer in case.
3. Remove the four screws securing the control panel (one located under
the printer ribbon cable) to the case (Fig. 4-3). If the unit is equipped
with an auxiliary panel, pull it straight up then turn it over and place
the panel in the bottom of the case so that it is facing the back.
4. Tilt the control panel upwards so that the calibration pots and the
front panel keys (or the sensors) are accessible (Fig. 4-4).
5. After the analyzer has been serviced, replace the control panel and
auxiliary-display panel by reversing steps 1 thru 4.
