The Settings for Program Operation control how the READCENTER® Field Application software reacts to different meter read-
ing conditions as follows:
• Show Account Comments – when checked and Comments exist for the meter, they are displayed automatically when
the meter is next to be read.
• Show No Usage – when checked and the meter reading matches the previous reading, the No Usage message is
displayed.
• Show Reverse Flow – when checked and the meter reading is lower than the previous reading, the Reverse Flow
message is displayed.
• Show Previous Read – when checked, the previous reading is displayed on the High and Low Limits screen and when
reentering a high or low manual meter reading.
• Find on Wrong – when checked and reading touch meters, the READCENTER Field Application software will search
for the correct meter if the touch meter just read does not match the next meter to be read.
• Allow Mark as Complete—when checked, allows the user to mark a Route as Complete even though 100% of the
meters have not yet been read/processed.
• Alert on Route Boundary – when checked, a message will be displayed showing that the next meter to be read is in a
new route.
• Read Direction – for the services being read, these settings specify if the manual meter reading will be entered from
left to right or from right to left.
• Enlargement Time – clicking this button changes the time that a field is enlarged on the screen if the field is too long
to be displayed; it also determines how long the battery status popup indicator stays on the screen when you tap on
a screens title bar. Pressing the “D key enlarges the fields on the Read screen.
• Load/Unload Mechanism – this setting controls which method of loading and unloading routes is used.
• Single-/Double- Tap Button – choose how you want to access Quick Keys.
