Entering New Accounts
New accounts can be added to the list of stored accounts received from Badger Meter Reading Data Management Software.
Before you add a new account, be aware that the Badger Meter Reading Data Management Software can display the
accounts that you add but cannot permanently add them to its database. Information from accounts added can be
printed when the accounts are uploaded to Badger Meter Reading Data Management Software, but the accounts will not be
added to the Badger Meter Reading Data Management Software database. New accounts are added to Badger Meter Read-
ing Data Management Software when the list of meters to read is sent from the billing system, so new information needs to
be entered there.
Note that if you need to read a few meters for testing purposes, there is no need to create a new account. Instead, use the
Quick Read feature. See the Quick Read section of this manual for more information.
If you need to enter a new account into the Trimble Ranger, press the New Account “N” key or tap the “New Account button
on the screen from the Read Menu.
