5.1Setting Lower limit (”closinglimit“)
-1--- LED 1lightsup
The positionerprovidesthatINSERVICE thevalve positiondoesnot close
anyfurther than definedbythe closinglimit.Ifthe setpoint valueislower
than this limit, message12is produced.
By pressing of keys (+)or(–), thevalue is adjustedand with key( )confirmed.
Thekeys have Autorepeat: By pressingand holding of akey (+) or (–) ,the valueiscounted
upward, aftersometimeinlarger steps.
Example: Lower limit is setto2%.
5.2SettingCutofflow (”0% seal-tight point“)
--1- - LED 2lightsup
If a0%seal-tight point is given, in case thesetpoint is deviated lower(e.g.
3%), theSRD providesthe pneumatic output to press the valveintoits
seat withfullforcein order to tightlyseal valve.
As soon as thecommand value is 0.5%*higherthanthis seal-tight value,
thepositionagain follow sthe command value.
*This istthe “Seal-tight hysteresis”factory setat0.5%. Thevalue may be changed via
communication.
5.3SettingCutoffhigh(“100% seal-tight point”)
---1- LED 3lightsup
If a100%seal-tight pointispre-set and in case a certain setvalue is ex-
ceeded (e.g. 97 %),the SRD provides that the pneumatic output presses
thevalve 100% intoits seat with full force.
This function makessense for3-way valves.
Also both seal-tight points can be used in ordertotightly closethe respec-
tive shut-off pathduring partial operation.
By pressing of keys (+)or(–), thevalue is adjustedand with key( )confirmed.
Thekeys have Autorepeat: By pressingand holding of akey (+) or (–) ,the valueiscounted
upward, aftersometimeinlarger steps.
Example: Cutoff high is setto97%.
5.4Setting Upperlimit (”opening limit“)
----1 LED4lightsup
TheSRD provides that IN SERVICEthe valvepositiondoes not open any
furtherthan definedbythe opening limit. If theset valueisexceeded,
message 13 is produced.

Definitions
Stroke, stroke range of the membrane actuatorisdefined for rotary actuatoras angle, angle range.
0%position is the mechanical impact at actually closed valve (caution if using handwheel and mechanically adjust-
able stroke limitation!)
100%position is the mechanical impact at actually open valve.
Closing limit is alower limit set via software. In normal operationthe valve will not close more than set here.
Attention: In the event of failure of theauxiliary energynocontrolling is possible, thereforethe springs in
the actuator will move thevalve intosafety position(forsingle-acting actuator).
Opening limit is aupper limit set viasoftware.Innormal operationthe valve will not closemorethan set here.
Attention: In the event of failure of theauxiliary energynocontrolling is possible, thereforethe springs in
the actuator will move the valve intosafety position(forsingle-acting actuator).
Normal operation (= IN SERVICE) means that the positionis controlled to the4–20 mA input signal.
