Your key to using BeoSound 3000 4 Reach out as if to touch the glass doors and the BeoSound 3000 opens automatically, revealing the music system concealed behind the doors. 1. Buttons on the operation panel All the buttons are located in one place. They are conveniently grouped according to type of function, so you can easily find your way around the panel while operating the system. Displays The displays tell you what the system is doing. The cues in the upper display relate to functions in the CD player, e.g. track number. The lower display shows the name of the current radio station, or it tells you which CD is playing, if you have named it.
Using the CD player 6 When you press the CD button to play the CD you have loaded, all information on the CD, for example the number of tracks will first be registered. Then the CD will start playing from the beginning. Playing will continue until the whole CD has been played, BeoSound 3000 then automatically switches to standby after 30 minutes, if you do not operate it. You can step to other tracks or search through the CD – just as if you were fast forwarding or rewinding a tape.
Play favourite CD tracks only Sometimes not the entire selection of tracks on a CD is to your liking, it is therefore possible to edit the CD, so that only the tracks you like and select are played. The selected tracks are played in numerical order. Load the CD you want to edit, the CD is then scanned. Scanning means that the first 15 seconds of each track on this CD will be played. On the display, the track number you are currently playing will appear.
Using the radio 8 To listen to the radio, you must first find and store the frequencies of the radio stations. You can store up to 60 different radio stations in your BeoSound 3000 (see page 12 in the Reference book). Switch on the radio Adjust the sound When you switch on the radio, it automatically selects the station which you last listened to. While you are listening to the radio or CD player, you can of course adjust the sound volume, at any time.
