2.3 About the Base Un it
Base Unit
The Base Unit receives the wireless input from the Bu ttons and c ontrols the content of the meeting room display and
the sound of the meeting room’s audio system.
The Bas e Unit can be installed in two different ways.
Front and Top layout of the Base Unit
At the front of the B ase U n it you can find a power button and a US B por t. Status LED ring is mounted around the standby button of
the Base unit.

USB port
The USB port is used to upd ate the soft- and firmware of both the B ase Unit and the Buttons. See also "Software update", page 65.
When plugging in the B utton into the Base Unit, the Button is paired to the B ase U nit. The Base Unit checks whether the Button’s
software and firmware are u p to date. If not, the B ase Unit upda tes the software and/or firmw a re .
To update the Bas e Unit software, download the latest version of the software from the Barco website. Copy the file on a USB stick
and plug it into the U SB po rt of the Base Unit. Follow the progress and instructions on the display.
