Necessary Data to continue:
Domain
The company domain for which y ou are enrolling, should match with the one defined in your
Active Directory.
Identity
Identity o f the us er account in the Active Directory which will be used by the ClickShare B uttons to
connect to the corporate network.
Password
The corresponding pas sword for the identity that you are using to authenticate on the corporate
network. Per Base Unit each Button w ill use the same ide
ntity a nd password t o connec t to the
corporate network.
Corporate S SID The SSID of your corporate wireless infrastructure t
o which the C lickShare Buttons will connec t.
Click Next to continue.
When having problems connecting the Button to your corporate ne twork, to get feedback from the Button please hav e a look
at the ClickShare Client log. This log can be enabled by holding shift when starting the Client executable. Look for the lines
“EDSUSBDongleConnec tion::mpParseDongleMessages”. An error code and a short sum mary of the issue shou ld be logged.
6.15 Netw ork integration, PEAP security mode
About PEAP
PEAP (Protected E xtensible Authentication Pr otocol) is an EA P implementation co-developed by Cisco S ystems, Micr osoft and RSA
Security. It sets up a sec ure TLS tunnel using the servers CA c ertificate after which actual user authentication takes place within the
tunnel. T his way of w orking enables it to use the sec urity of TLS while authenticating the user but w ithout the need for a PKI.
The standard does n ot mandate which me thod is to be us ed to authenticate within the tunnel. B ut in this application note, with regard
to PEAP, we are referring to PEAPv0 with EAP-MS CHA Pv2 as the inner authentication method. This is one of the two certified PEAP
implementations in the W PA and WPA2 standards – and by far the most common and widespread im plementation of P EAP.
How to start up for PEAP
1. LogintotheConfigur ator.
2. Click WiFi & Network → Network integration.ClickonChange configu r aton.
3. Select the radio button next to PEAP and click Next.
