Checked: allow to pair with this Base Un it. Pairing can on ly be done when sec urity level is set to 1. When a higher security level
was set when checking the check box a message “Due to your changes the security level is downgraded to level 1”.
Not checked: not allow to pair with this device.
5. Click Save changes to apply the setting.
Changing the Comp atibility setting will require a repairing of the Buttons used with this Base Unit.
6.21 Security, security level
About security levels
For the use of the ClickShare system, a security level can be set. B y default, leve l 1 is activated. A security level is a predefined set
of settings which are autom atically set when a level is selected.
Lev e l 1 : offers support for normal day-to-day ope rations in any organization.
Level 1 contains the standard security options and encryption o f audio and video data.
The standard security options are:
• PIN c ode activation for mobile apps and Buttons,
• WebUI access via HTTPS with login management,
• no wireless WebUI access,
• SSID of Wi-Fi network is hidden.
Lev e l 2 : this lev el offers a higher degree of security, fit for organizations that are m ore sensitive to security matters.
Level 2 contains the level 1 security and a mand atory P IN code for m obile devices. Alphanum eric PIN codes for mobile apps and
Buttons and the B uttons r equire a certificate for pairing.
Lev e l 3 : this level is used for organizations that have extremely strict requirements with regards to security.
Level 3 contains the level 2 security ex tended with blocking of mo bile apps, downgrading firmware not possible and no wireless
access to the configurator (WebUI).
When a security level is set, the individual items included in that security level c an be changed using the individual item in the
Configurator. Wh en changing an individual item the security level indication will be adapted accordingly, but no other settings will
be changed automatically.
E.g. when lev el 3 is set and you change mob ile app blocking to allowed, then the security level indication will change to level 2. But
all other items initially in level 3 remains in the level 3 state.
