Advantages
• Less Wi-Fi access points allowing to better control the Wi-Fi spectrum.
• Eliminates any security risks via ClickShare because all Base Units are in an isolated and separate (virtual)
LAN.
• Easy management of all ClickShare Base Units in the separate (virtual) LAN, e.g. through their assigned IP
addresses.
• If the network configuration allows it, mobile users remain connected to their current network when sharing
and have access to corporate environment and the internet. Enterprise network traffic is routed to the
dedicated ClickShare network for content sharing purposes.
How to setup via the Configurator
1. Connect the Base Unit and browse to the ClickShare Configurator and log in.
2. Select Button in the System menu and click Edit settings.
Select External Access Point from the drop down menu and select the preferred authentication mode and
fill out the details.
Click Save Changes. For more information, see “Buttons”, page 102
3. Pair the Buttons again with the Base Unit.

Setup via XMS
1. Log in to XMS and go to the Base Units tab.
2. In the device list select the Unit(s) for deploying network integration mode and click Edit in the top right
menu..
3. Browse to System > Button Connects To in the configurator.
4. Select External Access Point from the drop-down menu.
5. Select the preferred authentication mode and fill out the details.
6. Click Save Changes when finished.
7. Re-pair the ClickShare Buttons with the updated Base Unit(s) to apply the new configuration

4.11 Power connection
About power
This product is intended to be supplied by a UL Listed Power Unit marked “Class 2” or “LPS” or “Limited
Power Source” with output rated 12 VDC 4.2A..
An external power adapter is delivered with the product.
2 types of power supplies are in use to power the Base Unit. One with replaceable clips to plug the power
supply into the wall outlet and one with different types of power cords.
Once the Base Unit is powered, it starts up. Then the power button can be used to switch on or off.
How to connect the external power adapter with clips.
1. Plug the barrel connector of the power adapter into the power input of the Base unit.
