Use and Care Manual for Barn Pros Workshop and Garage Packages
Barn Pros quality workshop and garage buildings are designed to provide years of use for
the homeowner provided the building is constructed in accordance with modern building
practices and regular maintenance is given.
Prior to purchase
Before purchasing please check with your local building authority to obtain necessary
permits and building criteria, review possible site zoning, foundation and building
requirements or restrictions (including, but not limited to: frost depth, soil-bearing
pressure, drainage, etc.).
Experience Required
Building construction experience is required to assemble this building package. It is
recommended that a professional contractor be hired to construct if the purchaser is not
qualified.
Siding
It is recommended that the exterior siding of your garage or workshop be treated as soon
as possible or no longer than two weeks aer installation. Please refer to manufacturer’s
specifications for complete use and care information.
Roofing and Downspouts
To prolong the lifetime of your roof; keep roof, downspouts and gutters free of debris and
clear of overhanging branches.
Windows, Doors and Garage Doors
Please refer to manufacturer’s recommendations for use and care for all windows,
entry doors and garage doors. For additional use and care information please refer to
manufacturer’s specifications.
Vegetation and Debris
It is important to keep vegetation and debris from the building exterior. Prolonged
exposure to moisture caused by contact can cause deterioration of the siding, doors and
trim.
