NOTE: If you don’t have a Twitter account and would like to set one up, tap the white Nav Arrow in the Status
Bar to call up the Quick Nav Bar, tap the Web icon to launch a Web browser, and navigate to www.
twitter.com.
To link your NOOKcolor to your Twitter account, do this:
1. On the Social screen in Settings, tap the button labeled link your Twitter account.
Your NOOKcolor displays a Twitter login screen. The screen says that your NOOKcolor would like to access
and update your data on Twitter.
2. Tap in the Username or email field.
Your NOOKcolor displays an online keyboard.
3. Enter your Twitter accounts username, or enter the email address associated with your Twitter account.
4. In the Password field, enter the password for your Twitter account.
5. Tap the Allow button.
Linking Your NOOKcolor to Your Google Gmail Account
You can import contacts from your Google Gmail account.
You can share quotes, recommendations, and reading status with your contacts. You and your contacts can also lend
and borrow books using Barnes & Noble’s exclusive LendMe technology.
To link your NOOKcolor to your Google account, do this:
1. On the Social screen in Settings, tap the button labeled link your Google account.
Your NOOKcolor displays a Google login screen.
2. Tap in the Email address field.
Your NOOKcolor displays a keyboard.
3. Enter your Google Gmail address in the Email: field.
4. Enter your Google Gmail password in the Password: field.
5. Check or uncheck the Remember me checkbox, depending on whether you want your NOOKcolor to automati-
cally fill in the Email and Password fields the next time you return to this screen.
6. Tap the Sign in button, and enter your Google Gmail credentials.
Configuring Search
You can customize the Search tool on your NOOKcolor in two ways:
• You can control the type of information included in searches.
• You can clear your history of recent searches.
Configuring the List of Searchable Items
The Search tool on the Quick Nav Bar always searches your Library and the Shop. By default, it also searches
through;
• Extras: the names of other applications, such as Contacts and Chess, that are installed on your NOOKcolor.
• Browser: your Web bookmarks and browser history
• Music: the names of albums, artists, and tracks for all music files (in AAC or MP3 format) on your NOOKcolor
