To change the list of items that your NOOKcolor searches through, do this:
1. On the Settings screen, tap Search.
2. On the Search Settings screen, tap Searchable items.
The Searchable items page lists the types of items that your NOOKcolor searches through.
• Extras
• Browser
• Library
• Music
• Shop
3. Tap on the items whose settings you want to change.
• Check the checkbox of any item you want to include in searches.
• Uncheck the checkbox of any item you want to exclude from searches.
NOTE: The Library and Shop choices are grayed out. You cannot unchecked their checkboxes because your
NOOKcolor always searches them.
Your changes take eect right away.
Clearing Search Shortcuts
When you search for items and select search results, your NOOKcolor stores the search results you select as short-
cuts for future searches.
To clear the list of search-result shortcuts, do this:
1. On the Settings screen, tap Search.
2. Tap the menu choice Clear search shortcuts.
A dialog box appears, explaining that this will clear shortcuts to recently searched items.
3. Tap OK.
Viewing Device Information
The Device Info settings screen displays useful infomration about your device, including your battery status (how
much of a charge remains) and the amount of storage available on your NOOK color. It also reports your NOOK-
color’s serial number and the version number of your NOOKcolor software.
The Device Info feature also includes a button for restoring your NOOKcolor to its factory settings.
Displaying Basic Device Information
To display device information, do this:
1. On the Settings screen, tap Device Info.
Your NOOKcolor displays the Device Info page, which shows:
• a Battery charge status bar, showing up how much power is left on your battery
• an Available storage status bar, showing how much free storage is left on your NOOKcolor’s internal
storage
