To do so,
Log in to the Barracuda Message Archiver as the administrator, and go to the page.ADVANCED > Backup

Set a workgroup name and password to connect to the SMB share; note that the SMB share username is always .smb
Click to save your settings.Save
On the external backup solution, connect to the Barracuda Message Archiver using SMB, and back up your data. The Barracuda Message
Archiver shares are published as: IP:/BMA-SMB-sharenumber
Barracuda Backup
To back up the Barracuda Message Archiver using Barracuda Backup,
Log in to Barracuda Backup as the Administrator, and go to the page.BACKUP > Sources
Click . In the page, enter a computer description and enter the IP address or fully qualified domain nameAdd Computer Add Computer
in the field.Computer Name
From the drop-down menu, select .Computer Type Microsoft Windows
Set to ; enter as the , and enter the password you set up on the Enable File Share Backups On smb Username ADVANCED > Backup
page in the Barracuda Message Archiver web interface.
Click to verify access to the file share.Test Credentials
Click at the top of the page.Save
In the page, from the drop-down menu, select .Add Data Source Data Type File Share - CIFS
Verify is turned Enable Backups On.
In the section, enter as the Share Name, and click .File Share Information BMA-SMB Test Share
In the section, specify which folders you want to back up.Folder Selection
To replicate to the cloud, turn on .Replicate to Barracuda Cloud Storage
Click to save your configuration and add the data source.Save
Go to the page, and for the SMB share.BACKUP > Schedules add a schedule
