Work steps:
1. Shut the tablet PC down using the operating system.
2. Place the tablet PC on the display side, taking care that
no parts nearby scratch the screen.
3. Remove the top middle screws on the I/O interface cover.
4. Unpack the HART Module (the srews supplied for
mounting are in the packaging).
5. Place the HART Add-On Module on the extension
interface.
1. Fasten the HART Add-On Module using 5 screws. Torque
value 3 Nm.
2. Visual inspection of the HART Add-On Modules to ensure
correct positioning and assembly.
3. Switch the tablet PC on using the "ON/OFF" button.
DANGER
Non-certified accessories endanger explosion protection.
Danger to life exists in potentially explosive atmospheres!
 A condition for a safety conscious operation is the use of HART Add-on modules
which have been specified for use by BARTEC.
 The ignition protection is rendered ineffective by using modules from other
manufacturers so that a danger of fire or explosion exists.
Only admissible outside potentially explosive atmospheres:
 The HART Add-on modules may only be replaced outside the potentially
explosive atmosphere!
 The EGB information should be followed in order to prevent any damage to the
Tablet PC. This includes working on an antistatic mat. The operator must also be
correctly earthed.
(EGB = Rules in the handling of electrostatically endangered construction
elements and assemblies.)
ATTENTION
Incorrect handling may cause damage to property!
 Switch off the Tablet PC before replacing components.
 Turn off the Tablet PC before removing the battery. Errors when removing the
battery may lead to a loss of data.
 For a secure mechanical mount of the HART Add-On Module on the tablet-PC
Agile X IS, all supplied screws need to be used.
