Gebrauchsanweisung für CHROMOFLEX ® Pro Steuergerät Instruction manual for CHROMOFLEX ® Pro Controller
DEUTSCH Gebrauchsanweisung Für CHROMOFLEX ® Pro Serie Art.-Nr. 66000043 CV – 3 – Kanal Art.-Nr. 66000044 CV – 4 – Kanal Art.-Nr. 66000033 CC – 3 – Kanal Art.-Nr. 66000034 CC – 4 – Kanal Bitte aufmerksam lesen und aufbewahren! 1.
English Instruction manual for CHROMOFLEX ® Pro Series Item.-No. 66000043 CV – 3 – channel Item.-No. 66000044 CV – 4 – channel Item.-No. 66000033 CC – 3 – channel Item.-No. 66000034 CC – 4 – channel Please read this manual carefully and keep it in a save place! 1. Introduction: CHROMOFLEX ® Pro is an advancement of CHROMOFLEX ® I, II and RC. The PRO version consists of up to 4-channels (for modern R-G-B-W LEDs - Item.-No. 66000034) and is totally radio controlled.
4. Safety Instructions The modules might produce some heat. Care must be taken to provide unrestricted air ventilation. The unit is equipped with a limited protection against reverse polarity. Connecting the power in reverse polarity can destroy the module, even if connected for a short time only. Important: It is guaranteed by design that the units will never generate any higher voltage than the supply voltage.
Important: The power supply should have an equivalent pulse load. Improper power supplies may lead to malfunctions and unwanted flickering effects in the color changes. Fig. 2 6.1 CHROMOFLEX ® Pro CV version „CV“ is an abbreviation for constant voltage. This model does not have any internal current regulator. Supply voltage is passed through and the voltage of the power supply must match the voltage of the LED stripe. Note: LED stripes of 10 Volts, 12 Volts and 24 Volts are offered on the market.
This model is used for either 350 mA or 700mA constant current. The power supply must match the number of LEDs used in series: most high-power LEDs for 350mA constant current require around 3 - 3.7 Volts, depending on color, type and manufacturer. Usually, green and blue LEDs require the highest voltages; the forward voltage of red is usually lower. The „CC“ module itself additionally requires about 3-4 Volts to maintain line regulation. Max. operating current can be up to 48 Volts (+5%).
Fig. 7 Note maximum load: at 350mA 12 LEDs can be connected in series (having 3.5 Volts for green and blue, this may result into a supply voltage of 46 Volts). At 700mA higher power dissipation is produced on the PCB. Max. 6 LEDs per channel can be connected in series. Otherwise electronics may break down or will be destroyed by overheating. 7. Operation Please operate this unit only, when it is working properly. In case of an error, switch off the unit immediately.
7.2 Networking The CHROMOFLEX ® Pro is working on a radio frequency of 868.3 MHz. This frequency is often used for other radio controls and wireless sensors. Very strict regulations ensure that operation, free from interference, is possible. Therefore CHROMOFLEX ® Pro uses a bidirectional communication to ensure reliable operation, meaning the Remote Control or the USB-Dongle requires an acknowledgement from the CHROMOFLEX ® Pro.
9. Additional technical data: Current consumption of one unit (without LED): about 10 - 20mA Ambient temperature: 0°C - max. +50°C (in dry condi tions only with sufficient air circulation for heat dissipation, non-condensing) Radio frequency: 868.3 MHz (license free in EC, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland). Modulation system: The CHROMOFLEX ® Pro modules are based on a digital System, called „Vector-FractalModulation“ or „VFM“.
