Preparing the Basement
Watchdog Standby Battery
The Basement Watchog Big Standby battery is
shipped dry and vacuum seale to retain freshness.
Unlike other batteries, the Big Standby battery will
have 100% life when you are ready to install it.
Activating the battery is done by simply adding the 6
qt. battery uid pack (sold separately). Instructions are
provided inside the carton. An electronic version
and an instructional video are available online at
www.BasementWatchdog.com. Once the uid is
added, it will reach 85% charge within 15 minutes.
The remaining charge is put in by the Basement
Watchdog backup sump pump system. Basement
Watchdog batteries are the only batteries that will
accommodate the uid sensor allowing the backup
pump controller to sound an alarm when distilled
water is needed.
