Chemical Stability
Stable under ordinary conditions of use and storage. Concentrated solutions react violently with water, spattering and liberating
heat.
Possibility of Hazardous Reactions
None under normal processing.
Hazardous Polymerization
Hazardous polymerization does not occur.
Conditions to Avoid
Avoid heat, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Heat, moisture, incompatibles. Keep separated from incompatible
substances.
Incompatible Materials
Vigorous reactions with water; alkaline solutions; metals, metal powder; carbides; chlorates; nitrates; strong oxidizing, reducing, or
combustible organic materials. Hazardous gases are evolved on contact with chemicals such ascyanides, sulfides, and carbides.
Hazardous Decomposition Products
Releases sulfur dioxide at extremely high temperatures. Toxic fumes of oxides of sulfur when heated to decomposition.
