Installation
The Basement Watchdog Special is easy to install in either a normal
or narrow sump pit. The discharge pipe can be run directly outside,
or it can be plumbed into the discharge pipe of the main AC pump.

The Basement Watchdog Emergency battery backup
sump pump system features:
• Monitoring of battery, battery uid, power and pump conditions
• Pumping capacity up to 2,000 GPH at 0 ft. of lift or 1,000 GPH at 10 ft.
• Compact pump design ts in small or narrow pits
• Accommodates maintenance or maintenance free (AGM) batteries

You will also need:
• A Basement Watchdog 7.5
Hour Standby Battery
•
1-1/2' rigid PVC pipe and ttings
• PVC cement and primer
•
A rubber union with hose clamps
or a "Y" connector and 2 check
valves depending on the
installation you use
•
Six quarts of 1.265 specic gravity battery uid (not needed for
Maintenance Free AGM battery)
For narrow sump pits you will also need:
• An "L" bracket at least 6" long (preferably one
that will not rust)
• Two stainless steel hose clamps
• One stainless steel screw (#8-32 x 3/4") plus a
matching washer and nut

Backup Sump Pump System includes:
• A pump with 1-1/2” PVC pipe adapter
• A plastic wire tie for mounting the switch
• A battery box
• A battery cap with a hole to accommodate the uid sensor
• A battery charger
