b) Rechargeable battery
• The built-in battery cannot be removed and is charged while in the device. Do not
attempt to remove the battery to charge it with an external charger.
• Use only the USB interface of a USB power supply or a USB port of a computer
to charge the battery. A different charging current will damage the equipment and
cause the built-in rechargeable battery to overheat or ignite (risk of explosion!).
Charging the built-in rechargeable battery
The USB connection at which the device is charged must have a power rating of at
least 500 mA. This is usually assured at every USB port on computers. However, the
device can also be charged with power supplies that feature USB ports.
Before using the device for the rst time, the built-in rechargeable battery must be
fully charged.
• Remove the protection cap from the MP3 player.
• Plug the MP3 player into the USB port of a computer or into a suitable USB power supply.
• The battery charge symbol lights up completely once the battery is charged.
• Disconnect the MP3 player when the charging process is complete.
• One battery charge will last up to 4 hours, depending on volume and use.
Connecting the In-Ear headphones
The MP3 player has two headphone inputs. Insert the connecting jack of the in-ear head-
phones provided with your device into one of the two headphone inputs.
You can connect a second headphone at the second headphone input.
Inserting a memory card and managing the memory
The product supports micro SD-cards and micro SDHC cards up to a maxi-
mum of 32 GB . The memory card must be FAT 32 formatted.
Due to the great variety of memory cards and their different functions, which
are sometimes producer-specic, we cannot guarantee that all memory cards
will be recognized and that all the operational functions in connection with
this device will be available.
If the memory card is not recognized, remove it and then insert it again.
Never disconnect the USB connection while a data transfer is in progress.
• Insert a memory card into the card slot. The memory card contacts must face towards the
operating buttons.
• Plug the MP3 player into a USB port on your computer.
• You can now access the contents of the memory card using Explorer on your computer and
can save or delete audio les.
• After the data transfer has completed, remove the MP3 player from the USB port on your
computer.
You can also use your MP3 player to store text data les (Format.txt).
To remove the memory card, push it in gently and release it. This releases the lock
so that the memory card jumps out slightly and can be easily removed.
Operation
a) Switching on/off
• Slide the ON/OFF switch into the ON position. The MP3 player switches on.
• Press and hold down the
63 button to switch the MP3 player on or off.
• Slide the ON/OFF switch into the OFF position. The MP3 player switches off. It is now not
possible to switch on using the
63 button.
Please also note the settings Background Lighting and Switching Off in the Settings
menu.

a) General information
• The product must not be modied or converted, as this will cause both the CE
approval and the warranty/guarantee to become void.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, high humidity,
moisture, combustible gases, vapors and solvents.
• Never expose the product to mechanical stress.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music over long periods of time. This may dam-
age your hearing.
• The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging materials unattended. Plastic lm, etc. can be a danger-
ous plaything for children; there is a risk of suffocation.
• Do not use the product while driving a vehicle, operating machinery or performing
other potentially hazardous activities. This could cause you to miss warning signs
or to be distracted by listening to the MP3 Player and therefore to be exposed to
danger.
• When using the product during sports activities or as a pedestrian, adjust the vol-
ume so that you are still able to hear the sounds produced by your surroundings.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- shows visible damage,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of
time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
• Please handle the product with care. It can be damaged by impact, blows, or by
being dropped, even from a low height.
