b) Setting the output voltage
In order for the correct output voltage to be set, the lab power supply’s output must be operated in a voltage-controlled state.
• Turnthecontroldial“CURRENT”(9)foroutputcurrentlimitfromtheleftpositionclockwiseuntiltheredLEDdisplay“CC”(11)
foroutputcurrentregulationgoesoutandthegreenLEDdisplay“CV”(10)foroutputvoltageregulationlightsup.
• Checkthecontroldial“FINE”(4)forexactvoltageadjustment.Itshouldbeatthemiddleposition.
• Then,usethecontroldial“COARSE”(3)toroughlysetthedesiredoutputvoltage.Thecurrentlysetvoltagecanbeviewedon
theLEDdisplay“V”(2).Turnthedialclockwisetoincrease,counter-clockwisetodecreasevoltage.
• Thenusethecontroldial“FINE”(4)toexactlysettheoutputvoltage.
Ifyouhavetoturnthecontroldial“FINE”(4)untilitstops,returnittothemiddlepositionandadjustthesetting
withthecontroldial“COARSE”(3)beforemakingnalexactadjustments.
c) Setting the current limit
Readthesection“d)Connectingunits”beforeundertakingadjustmentsforthecurrentlimit.Foranexactcurrent
limit setting, a unit must be connected and turned on, and the lab power supply must also be turned on.
ThelimitedcurrentvaluecanbeviewedontheLEDdisplay“A”(1)onlyduringuse.
First,usethecontroldials“COARSE”(3)and“FINE”(4)tosetthepermissibleoperatingvoltageoftheunittobe
connected (see chapter 6.b).
• Withthecontroldial“CURRENT”(9)foroutputcurrentlimit,approximatelysettherequiredamperage.
• Turnthedialclockwisetoincrease,counter-clockwisetodecreaseamperage.
When both control dials for voltage adjustment (3 and 4) are all the way to the left, the voltage display shows
“00.0”volts.
Ifyouthenturnthecontroldial“CURRENT”(9)foroutputcurrentlimitallthewaytotheleft,thelabpowersupply

structure of the lab power supply and is not a sign of malfunction.
d) Connecting units
First, verify that the total output of all units together does not exceed the lab power supply’s maximum capacity.
• Turnoffallunitswhenconnectingthemtothelabpowersupply.Otherwise,sparksmayoccur,andthesocketsandplugs
may be damaged.
• Turnoffthelabpowersupply.
• Connect the unit’s plus terminal (+) to the lab power supply’s plus socket (5) and the minus terminal (-) to the power supply’s
minus socket (7). Use cables of appropriate dimensions with 4 mm banana plugs or use standardized lab cables.
• Ground the units using the lab power supply’s provided ground connection (6).
• Turnonthelabpowersupplyandtheunit.
Once voltage is applied to the output sockets and the unit has been turned on, the current values for the current
limit and voltage are shown on the LED displays (1 and 2).
Dependingonthelabpowersupply’soperationmode(current-orvoltage-controlled),theLEDdisplay“CC”(11)
foroutputcurrentregulationor“CV”(10)foroutputvoltageregulationlightsup.
• If necessary, you can also readjust the values for the current limit or output voltage for activated output sockets.
• Turnofftheunitandthelabpowersupplybeforedisconnectingaunit.
Caution!
Thelabpowersupplyhasaprotectivecircuitthatlimitsthecurrentintheevenofashortcircuit.Topreventthelab
power supply from overheating, always turn it off immediately and disconnect all connected units in the event of
ashortcircuit.Allowthelabpowersupplytocooldownandmakesurethatitiswellventilated.Theairvents(12)
must be clean and free of dust, do not cover the housing openings.
Thelabpowersupply‘smaximumcontinuousoperatingtimeis8hours.Afterthisperiod,turnoffthedeviceand
let it cool down to room temperature.
7. Cleaning and care
a) General care
Always turn off and unplug the lab power supply before cleaning. You can clean the outside of the device with a soft, dry cloth or
brush. Never use any aggressive solvents or chemical solutions as these may cause damage to the housing surface.
b) Changing the fuse
Caution!
First,turnoffthelabpowersupplyanddisconnectallcables.Thenunplugthedevice.
• Use a slotted screwdriver to slightly push in the fuse holder (13) on the back and open the bayonet connector by turning it
counter-clockwise a quarter turn. A spring will automatically push out the fuse holder.
• Replacethedefectivefusewithanewoneofthesametypeandsamenominalrating(see“Technicaldata”).
• Replace the fuse holder, push it in slightly and use the screwdriver to fasten it in place. Check to see if the lab power supply
works properly.
8. Troubleshooting
The lab power supply does not function, the displays do not light up.
• Check the power switch.
• Check whether the mains plug is correctly connected to the mains socket (14) on the back of the device.
• Check the functionality of the power supply line (outlets, fuses, circuit breakers, etc.).
• Check whether the correct mains voltage is present.
The connected units do not function.
• Check the polarity of the connection sockets (5 and 7).
• Check whether a current limit is activated.
• Reduce the charge to the lab power supply from the connected units.
• Check the connected units’ technical data.
9. Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
