10. Maintenance and Care

• The soldering station requires no servicing apart from replacing the soldering tip, the sponge or fuse now and then.

Servicing or repair must only be carried out by a specialist.

• Before cleaning, switch off the soldering station and disconnect it from the mains voltage; pull the mains plug from

the mains socket.

• Let the soldering gun and the soldering station cool off entirely.

• The outside of the soldering station should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

• Never use any aggressive cleansing agents or chemical solutions since these may damage the casing (discoloura-

tion) or impair its function.

• Thesolderingtipdoesnotrequireanyspecialcleaning.Itissufcienttocleanitofuxagentresidueorexcess

solder now and then at the moist sponge while soldering.

• Before switching off the soldering station, the soldering tip must be tinned well. This prevents corrosion of the

soldering tip.
