Getting Started 
A Quick-Start guide to this powerful new release 
his  chapter  contains  valuable information  about  the  installation  and  basic 
operation  of  the  V1.    It  begins  with  an  overview  of  what’s  new  since  5.5.  
There’s also an overview of the user interface, and an overview of how the V1 
is used in a coaching environment. 
What’s New in Version 5.7? 
Much  of  what’s  new  in  version  5.7  deals  with  making  Academy  lessons  easier  and 
more flexible than ever. However, there are also numerous new and enhanced analysis 
and productivity features. Here’s a run down: 
  A wide-screen version of 5.7 is available with a 16:9 aspect ratio video 
window.    This  version  works  best  with  a  high-performance  wide-
screen laptop and one or more 16:9 cameras such as the Canon Elura 
80. 
  An all-new video-position slider tool that’s both easier to use and more 
attractive.  Tic marks on the slider show a video’s key positions. 
  Academy lessons may now be “paused” while you are recording them. 
Take a moment to consider what you’d like to discuss next or to take a 
phone call. 
  Academy-style lessons may now be saved directly to CD on systems 
equipped with CD burners and Windows XP or Vista. 
  Add  stock  footage or  personalized pre-recorded  drills  to  students’ 
lessons by using the new Lesson Wrap-up feature. 
  When  making  microphone  impact-triggered  recordings  with  a  dual-
camera configuration, the two video files are automatically opened in 
split-screen compare mode for simultaneous playback.
