This will maintain the safety of the product.
Maintenance
• Maintenanceworkandemergencyrepairs
should only be performed as is described in
these operating instructions. All other work
must be carried out by a specialist.
• Checkregularlythatallscrewjointsare
properly secured. This will ensure the safety of
the device.
• Useonlyoriginalspareparts.Onlytheseparts
are designed and appropriate for the device.
Other spare parts may not only result in the
loss of the guarantee but may also harm you
and your environment.
Notices specic to the device
• Makesuretoalwaysstandsidewaystothe
saw blade.
• Whenworkingwiththedevice,wearpersonal
protective equipment ( Personal protective
equipment– Page 17).
• Useonlysawbladesthatareappropriatefor
the device ( Technical data – Page 25).
• Cutthinorthin-walledworkpieceswithne-
toothed saw blades only.
• Donotoperatethedevicewithouttheinstalled
protective devices.
• Alwaysusesharpsawblades.Replaceblunt
saw blades immediately. There is an increased
risk of kickback if a dull saw tooth gets caught
in the surface of the work piece.
• Donottilttheworkpiece.
• Nevercutseveralworkpiecesatthesame
time – no bundle that consists of several
individual pieces.
A work piece may be improperly seized by the
saw blade.
• Nevercutworkpiecesthatcontainropes,
cords, bands, cables or wires, or any such
materials.
• Alwayskeepatasufcientdistancefromthe
saw blade. Turn the device off and wait until
the saw blade has stopped before removing
work pieces, wood scraps etc. from the work
area.
• Beforeworkingonthedevice,always
disconnect the power (device without power).
• Astationarysawbladecanleadtoinjury!Use
gloves when changing saw blades.
• Whenusingthedevice,alwaysconnecttoan
appropriate vacuum cleaner.
• Donotslowdownthesawbladesafterturning
off the drive by side counter pressures.
• Roundworkpiecesmaynotbecutsincethey
can tilt with the rotating saw blade.
• Donotattempttocutcurves.Thisdeviceis
designed to cut only straight lines. Attempting
to cut curves may damage the saw blade,
result in rough cuts and possibly to saw blade
breakage. There is also the risk of serious
injury.
• Onlyevercutforwardwiththedevice,never
backward.
• Makesurebeforetakingyourhandsoffthe
device that the saw blade guard has returned
to its normal position and that the saw blade is
covered.
• Neverreachundertheworkpieceduring
cutting. The saw blade guard cannot protect
you from the saw blade.
• Alwaysadjustthecuttingdepthofthedevice
to the thickness of the work piece
( Operating instructions– Page 22).
• Neverholdtheworkpieceinyourhandor
across your leg when you are working on it.
Always clamp the work piece in an appropriate
holder.
• Alwaysguidethedevicewithtwohandsduring
the cutting. This facilitates the operation of the
device and ensures a level of safety.
Storage and Transport
• Alwayskeepthedevicedry.
• Storethedeviceinafrost-freelocation.
• Protectthedevicefromdamageduring
transport.

Wearclosettingworkclothes.
