RELEASING
1. Slidethelock/releaseswitch(4)uptothe
“release”position.
2. Pushonthefootpedalthenallowitto
returnupandreleasetheworkpiece.
Ensure you are supporting the
workpiece to prevent it from falling
once the jaw is released.
If you have clamped the object very
tightly, you may need to exert more
pressure on the foot pedal before it
will release.
3. Slidethemovingjaw
backandremove
yourworkpiece.
CLAMPING ON ONE
SIDE OF THE JAW
Onoccasions,largeorawkwardworkpieces
canonlybeclampedononesideofthe
jaws.
Alwaystaspacer
(thesamethicknessas
yourworkpiece)tothe
othersideofthejaws,to
preventthemovingjaw
fromskewing.
CLAMPING LARGE OBJECTS
(460mm to 956mm)
Themovingjawcanbereversedtoaccom-
modateworkpiecesgreaterthan460mm
andlessthan956mm.
1. Setthelock/release
switch(4)tothe
“release”position
andensurethatthe
footpedalis
released.
2. Checkthatthe
movingjawlocking
tab(11)isinthehori-
zontalposition.
3. Slidethemovingjaw
(1)fullyfromits
tracks.

Rotateit180degrees
andre-insertitinto
thetracks.
• Wheneverclamping
objectswiththe
movingjawreversed,
ensuretheworkpiece
sitsdownontotheslidingjaw,andis
paralleltoit.Avoidclampingworkpieces
atthetopofthejaws(withagap
betweentheworkpieceandthebaseof
themovingjaw)asexcessivepedalpres-
surecoulddamagetheunit.
• Whenclampinglargeorheavymaterials,
provideoutboardsupport(suchasa
Multi-Stand)topreventCroclockCom-
pactfromtippingover.
Clamping workpieces up to 956mm
can be achieved by removing the
jaw facings (see page 7).
USING AS AN ANVIL
Thexedjawissufcientlyrobusttobe
usedasananvilforstripmetalwork.
Do not use the
moving jaw as an
anvil. You could
damage it.
