Freezing using the Super Freeze setting
This setting should be used if you are freezing fresh food, it will ensure
that a powerful supply of cold air enters the freezer compartment,
ensuring that the food is frozen quickly.
o If you are freezing the maximum amount of fresh food that can
be frozen in a 24 hour period (10Kg), then it should be switched
on a few hours prior to freezing.
o If you are freezing a smaller quantity of fresh food, then it
should be switched on 1 hour prior to freezing.
o Select Super Freeze (‘S.Frz’) on the freezer temperature control
dial and the freezer will start to run continuously at its maximum
setting.
o The freezer temperature will decrease and the appliance will get
to its lowest temperature.
o Place the food that is to be frozen inside the freezer.
o Once the food is frozen, you should turn off the super frost
setting and return the dial to normal operation. DO NOT TURN
OFF SUPER FREEZE UNTIL THE FOOD IS FULLY FROZEN.
o IMPORTANT: The super freeze setting should not be
switched on for prolonged periods of time, otherwise it
may cause the appliance to overwork. It could also cause
the freezer section to freeze over.
Saving energy when using your fridge-freezer
There are some simple things you can do to save energy when
installing or using your fridge-freezer:
Installing:
o Install the appliance in a cool position. If it is placed in direct
sunlight or next to an oven or other heat source, the energy
consumption can increase substantially.
