General Information o This appliance is designed for domestic household use and can be built into a standard kitchen cabinet or housing unit.

Setting and using the oven programmer/timer Selecting manual operation mode After your appliance is connected to your mains supply for the first time, the numbers on the timer display will flash. Before you can select a cooking function or set a temperature, you must set the appliance into manual operation mode. o To select manual operation mode, press the manual operation button (6) on the control panel.
Setting the minute minder function You are able to set the minute minder at any time, regardless of whether an oven function has been selected. You can set a period of time using the minute minder function and an alarm will sound when this period of time has elapsed. o Press the manual operation button (6) for about 2 seconds until the minute minder symbol (4) starts blinking. o Set the required countdown time using the plus (7) and minus (5) buttons. The maximum programmable time is 23:59 hours.
o A few seconds after all buttons have been released, the cooking time will be set. The auto cooking symbol (1) and the oven in use symbol (2) will appear on the display. o Once the set time has elapsed, an alarm will sound and the oven will automatically switch off. o The alarm can be silenced by pressing any timer button or it will switch off automatically after 7 minutes.

Setting the start and end time function This function will allow you to set a time in the future that the oven switches on at and a time that the oven will switch off at.
o To silence the alarm, press any timer button or the alarm will turn off automatically after 7 minutes. o IMPORTANT: If you have not turned the oven function selection knob and temperature control knob to their OFF positions, when you reset the oven it will continue to heat. BO622SS There are four functions available on your appliance: OVEN LIGHT: Separate light control which allows the light to be switched on, even when the oven is switched off. HALF GRILL: This method of cooking utilises the inner sections of the top element, which directs heat downwards onto the food. This function is suitable for grilling small portions of bacon, toast and meat etc. FAN OVEN: This method of cooking uses the circular element while the heat is distributed by the fan.

This function is suitable where quick browning is required and “sealing” the juices in, such as steaks, hamburgers, some vegetables etc. Thermostat control knob (both models) The oven thermostat control knob sets the required temperature of the oven. It is possible to regulate the temperature within a range of 50 250°C.
Adjusting the alarm volume If the oven alarm is too loud or quiet you can adjust the volume level accordingly. o When the oven is not in use, press the manual operation button (6). This will enter the volume adjustment mode where you can choose from 3 sound levels. 1 is the loudest sound level and 3 is quietest sound level available. o Use the timer plus (7) and minus (5) buttons to select a sound level. o Release all buttons and after a few seconds the displayed volume will be set.
o IMPORTANT: You should pre-heat the oven if you are baking no matter what oven function you are using. o If there is no guidance given on the food packaging specifically for cooking in fan oven mode, you can generally reduce the cooking time and temperature by 10% from the information given for conventional oven cooking. o Make sure that frozen foods are thoroughly thawed before cooking, unless the instructions on the food packaging advise that you can “cook from frozen”.
o The drip tray handle should not be left in position when the appliance is switched on. o Warning: Accessible parts may become hot during use. Young children should be kept well away from the oven when it is in use. Cleaning and maintenance Cleaning operations must only be carried out when the oven is cool. The appliance should be disconnected from your mains supply before commencing any cleaning process. o The oven should be thoroughly cleaned before it is operated for the first time and after each use.
o Any damage that is caused to the appliance by a cleaning product will not be fixed by Baumatic free of charge, even if the appliance is within the guarantee period. Removable oven roof liner o Your appliance is supplied with a roof liner, which should be slid over the top of the grill element. o Once you have finished cooking, the liner should be removed and thoroughly cleaned after each use of the appliance. o Do not allow fat and grease to build up on the oven liner, as this could cause a fire hazard.
Removing the inner door glass for cleaning o Do not use any abrasive cleaner that could cause damage. o Remember that if the surface of the glass panel becomes scratched, this could lead to a dangerous failure. o To facilitate cleaning, the inner door glass can be lifted out. o You should open the oven door fully and find the two indents indicated in the picture above (A). o Use a coin and push it into each indent, pushing the coin upwards to pop the inner door glass away from the door frame.
INSTALLATION The installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified person, in accordance with the current version of the following. o UK Regulations and Safety Standards or their European Norm Replacements. o Building Regulations (issued by the Department of the Environment). o Building Standards (issued by the Scottish Development Department). o IEE Wiring Regulations. o Electricity At Work Regulations.
Reversing the door of your appliance IMPORTANT: This operation must be only carried out by a suitably qualified person. o It is necessary to disconnect the oven from the mains before executing the operations described. o The oven door can be attached on both sides of the appliance. o You can decide whether the oven door should open from the left or right depending on personal preference and the kitchen layout or design.
o This will release the top of the oven door from the frame. o While supporting the oven door, slide the lower hinge bolt from the block to the release position. This will detach the oven door from the appliance. o Rotate the oven door upside down so the handle is on the opposite side.
o Reattach the oven door on the opposite side by slotting the lower hinge into the hole at the base of the oven frame and then attaching the top hinge.
o When the oven door is securely in position, you should slide the top and lower hinge bolts from the release to the block position. This will firmly attach the door to the appliance. o You can rotate the setting screw if you need to adjust the position of the oven door to ensure the door is parallel with the front panel.
Installing the oven into the kitchen cabinet Fixing the oven into a cabinet o Ensure that the aperture that you will be fitting the oven into is of the size given in the above diagram according to whether the appliance is being built-in or built-under a work surface. o Ensure that the rear panel of the furniture housing unit has been removed. o This oven must be installed with the ventilation cut outs being made in the housing unit as shown in the above diagram, otherwise the oven may overheat.

o Ensure that the oven has been securely fixed into the housing unit. The fixing of the oven into the housing is made by using four screws. These should be screwed through the oven cabinet and into the housing unit.
My appliance isn’t working correctly o The oven isn’t coming on. * Check that the oven is in manual operation mode. * Check that you have selected a cooking function and a cooking temperature. o There appears to be no power to the oven and grill. * Check that the appliance has been connected to the electrical mains supply correctly. * Check that the mains fuses are in working order.
o The oven light is not working * Refer to page 21 and follow the “Replacing the oven bulb” section. o I am getting condensation in my oven * Steam and condensation is a natural by product of cooking any food with high water content, such as frozen food, chicken etc. * You may get condensation in the oven cavity and forming between the oven door glasses. This is not necessarily a sign that the oven is not working correctly.
