Freshwater System
• Read the Freshwater system
section in the Cruiser & Yacht
Owner’s Manual.
• Your boat is equipped with a
pressure type (demand) freshwater
(potable) system.
• This system can be pressurized by
turning On the water pump.
• See the Locations section of this
Supplement for the location of the
water pump switch.
• Since the water pump requires DC
power, the battery switch must be
turned On for the pump to work.
• Turn Off the water pump when the
boat is not in use or the water tank
is empty.
• Inspect and clean the water filter
often (located on the water pump).
• If your boat is to be left unattended
for a long period of time, pump the
water tank dry to prevent stored
water from becoming stagnant and
distasteful.
• If the freshwater system needs to
be disinfected, ask your dealer
about treatments available for your
boat’s system.
• Only use safe drinking (potable) water in your boat’s freshwater system.
• Only use a sanitary drinking water hose to fill the water tank or connect to city water.
• Never use a common garden hose for drinking water.
