ADJUST Regulator Valve

BURNER FLAME CHECK - Model #SP1/SS1 JET COOKERS
When lighting for the first time, you will smell paint burning at the top of the cooker for a few minutes... This is normal.
The regulator valve controls flame intensity. Practicing adjusting flame height
up and down. You will notice that this cooker emits a loud JET sound,
hence the name Jet Cooker.
HOW TO REIGNITE
Model #SP1/SS1 JET COOKERS
If burner flame does NOT ignite immediately, or is accidentally extinguished,
turn LP Gas Cylinder Valve clockwise to OFF. Then turn regulator valve clockwise
to OFF position. Wait 5 minutes for gas to evacuate before re-lighting, then repeat
steps 1-7 to re-light. Always use caution when re-lighting as cooker frame
and cooking vessel will be hot.
If the cooker does not light within the first few attempts, there is a problem with the gas supply. Turn off the gas at the cylinder
and regulator. DO NOT attempt to operate the cooker until the problem is found and corrected. Refer to Troubleshooting on
Pages 26 - 27.
ATTENTION: Always turn Regulator Control Knob/Valve
to OFF position after every use! Propane Tanks, and this Cooker,
come equipped with a safety device that restricts the flow of gas should the
hose be cut or severed. While the safety device protects the operator,
it can sometimes impair lighting the cooker. To reduce trouble lighting
the cooker, always turn the regulator control knob/valve to the OFF position
after every use.
