DVD NAVIGATION
With Pioneer's DVD Cyber Navi units, you can navigate with a
choice of 4 guidance modes, including Pioneer's original Driver's
View Mode. All modes offer equally precise mapping and
information data, but Driver's View Mode — a Pioneer exclusive —
shows you a moving view of the road ahead with a 3-dimensional
perspective. In the Map Mode, you see your car as an icon on the
display map. The split-screen Arrow/Map, and Map/Arrow modes
give you a view of the arrow and map modes simultaneously. The
arrows in all the modes have been iconized to give you a clearer
image.
You can count on precise mapping and information data in any
mode, but the First Voice Guidance feature goes even further.
Using a combination of large and small arrows, it shows you which
moves are imminent and which are coming up next. Once you have
completed a specific maneuver, the arrow for that action
disappears and the arrow for the next maneuver dominates.
There are no surprises, since you always know exactly what to
expect. The representation of junctions has been simplified in all
modes to clearly indicate the route you should take, and, in any
driving mode except Driver's View, you can opt for more — or less
— detailed information simply by using the automatic intersection
zoom function.

Both of Pioneer’s second-generation DVD Cyber Navi Units
have a built-in TMC (Traffic Message Channel) receiver and
offer you the real benefit of up-to-the-minute traffic
information that is more detailed than ever before. In
countries where real time TMC traffic info is broadcast-free,
the system indicates the traffic events on your map within a
range of 100 kilometers and even if there’s a problem ahead,
the system presents you with an alternative route around
the traffic event, saving you time and the frustration of sitting
in a gridlock. Plus, theres a menu function that lists all the
current traffic events in your area.
