TX1500/KBD - System Keyboard
This Keyboard provides control of the system and any cameras connected to the matrix. The Keyboard
communicates through an RJ45 connector using BBV TX1500 protocol at 9600 baud on an RS422 link.
The Keyboard requires 12Vdc supply, minimum current of 100mA. A single Keyboard can be supplied through a
patch cable from the matrix. Multiple or remote Keyboards will need separate power supplies, which are supplied
as standard with each Keyboard. Additional power supplies can be obtained from BBV.
Each Keyboard must have a unique address between 1 and 4. Keyboards sharing the same
address will not be recognised by the matrix and unpredictable operation will occur.
Addressing the Keyboard.
The default keyboard address is 1.
To change the address of your keyboard, press and
hold the focus far and focus near buttons and apply
power to the keyboard.
The 1 key will be illuminated blue to indicate that
address one is selected. To change the address simply
press a number between 1 & 4. It will change to blue
and then shortly after the keyboard will return to its
normal operation.
If nothing is pressed the keyboard will also return to
normal operation after approximatly 5 seconds.
Disabling/Enabling the program keys.
To enable/disable the programming key as well as the
#, press and hold the focus far and focus near buttons
and apply power to the keyboard. Press the
PROGRAM button to toggle between enable/disable.
If the key is blue, the programming is enabled.
If the key is red, the programming is disabled.
If nothing is pressed, the keyboard will return to normal operation after approximatly 5 seconds.
