Installation
1. Remove factory flex plate and the large steel washer.
2. Install the BD Flex plate, utilizing the factory steel washer. Tighten
the 8 factory bolts, to the factory torque specifications described
below. Be sure to tighten the bolts in a crossing pattern.
Factory Torque Specifications
Flexplate to Crank 55 ft-lbs. Flexplate to Torque Converter 33 ft-lbs.
ATTENTION: THE BD FLEX PLATE IS DESIGNED TO BE INSTALLED
WITH AN OEM OR BD TORQUE CONVERTER. BD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE
FOR INSTALLATION ISSUES WITH OTHER TORQUE CONVERTERS. DO
NOT INSTALL FLEX PLATE IF THERE IS LESS THAN 0.060” GAP
BETWEEN THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND FLEX PLATE.
