To conserve resources and limit environmental impact, the content of this printed

report has been printed on Mohawk Silk Loop, and FSC-certiﬁed paper that is

made using renewable energy.

BD Medical Waste Collectors are manufactured using polypropylene or polyethylene

resins and colorants that are nontoxic and designed to comply with the Toxics in

Packaging Clearing House (TPCH) heavy metal limits. The collectors are safe for

incineration. Under combustion with adequate access of air, the resin burns to water

vapor, carbon dioxide and carbon ash.

BD Sharps Collectors meet or exceed the puncture force requirements deﬁned by the

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and British Standards. Sharps

collectors are classiﬁed as medical devices and are manufactured according to the FDA

Quality System Regulation and the International Quality Systems Standard ISO 9001.

BD Sharps Collectors are listed with the FDA and meet pre-market notiﬁcation and

clearance requirements in accordance with 21 CFR 807. BD Sharps Collectors

also meet the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Bloodborne Pathogens Standards 29 CFR 1910.1030.
