BD Pharmaceutical Collectors feature a variety of lid designs and sizes to collect and dispose
of unused, expired or other pharmaceutical waste (see Waste Stream Segregation on page 6).
Pharmaceutical Sharps Collectors
Key product features include:
• Gaskets or liquid-absorbing materials to
prevent leakage
• Visual, audible, tactile (VAT) perimeter locks to
ensure that the lid is securely attached to the
base and to add security against tampering
• Handles designed for safe transportation
• Dual-opening hinge top designed so that the
small or the large side can remain open and
the other locked based on the size of access
opening desired
• Large and extra-large collectors are fully
compatible with BD Trolleys (see page 16)
• 5.4 quart and 3 gallon Pharmaceutical
Collectors with counterbalanced door:
– Facilitate hands-free disposal and are
designed to reduce the potential for
sharps injuries
– Designed to improve tamper resistance by
preventing hand access to the contents
– Compatible with locking cabinets to
