safety closure

, which has two
parts; an inner stopper and an outer protective cap. The BD Hemogard
TM
safety closure is easier to remove than
conventional stoppers

, and protects the user from contact with patients’ blood. The BD Hemogard
TM
safety closure may
also be removed using an automated system such as PLUGGO
TM
(available from Clinicon UK Ltd). The BD Vacutainer
®
blood collection tubes can be recapped using secondary over-caps (also available from Clinicon UK Ltd - tel. 01428
707739).
