Rotate
Infusion sites should be changed each time the
IDD is changed. A new infusion site should be at
least 1 inch (2.5 cm) away from the last site. You
should not use the same insertion site again for
7 – 10 days.
Rx Only
For sale by or on the order of a physician only
(US).
Safety cap
A cap that is shielding the needle insertion
button and prevents you from accidently
activating the needle.
Self blood
glucose
monitoring
Regular blood checks to detect blood glucose levels.
Blood glucose checks are used to make changes to
one’s treatment plan.
Severe
Hypoglycemia
A low blood sugar reaction with symptoms that
include: stupor, seizure, or unconsciousness.
Medical help is highly advised.
Sharps
needles, lancets, and other sharp-pointed devices
used to give injections or draw blood.
Sharps container
A puncture proof container used for the disposal
and storage of used needles, syringes, and
lancets.
